The report says the vehicle will be positioned below the king-size SUV G-Wagon under a decent price range.

The luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is planning to bring an all-new off-roader SUV, which will share a lot of design elements with the iconic G-class in the global market.

The brand has already confirmed the news, and dropped the image teaser, featuring the outline of the model under the name “Little G”. However, the German carmaker has not revealed any specs and launch details as yet.

Smaller G-Class SUV Confirmed

The teaser was released by the company’s CEO, Ola Källenius at the unveiling of the CLA Class Concept. He also confirmed that the upcoming Little G will have the capabilities of a G-Class SUV, and will feature a lot of things under the compact package. Källenius also reacted about the same at the Munich motor show and gave the green signal about the arrival of Baby-wagon.

The introduction of the baby G-class does not come as a surprise as everyone knows the company expanding its SUV lineup, and aims to provide multiple SUV options in the future.

Smaller G-Class SUV Design

Going by the shared teaser image, it seems like the car might feature a lot of design elements from the company’s king-size SUV line-up G-Wagon. It has been reported that in order to make it more rugged and old-school, the upcoming vehicle also might have a traditional boot-mounted spare wheel.

Smaller G-Class SUV Engine

The report says the vehicle will be positioned below the king-size SUV G-Wagon under a decent price range. As far as the engine is concerned, the Little G will be offered in both a fuel-powered engine option and pure electric, same as EQG with a wheel driving option.

Once launched, the Little-G will compete against Jeep Wrangler, and lower models of Defender.
